Since October 2023, the Gaza Strip has been going through a humanitarian crisis of unprecedented severity. Thousands of children have lost one or both parents 😢. Displaced and impoverished, their families struggle to meet the most basic needs: food, clothing, school and healthcare.

Adopted by the United Nations in 1989, the Convention on the Rights of the Child guarantees every child the right to food, health, education and protection. In Gaza, orphans are among the most vulnerable children.
Sponsoring an orphan makes these rights real: regular, traceable support that covers their essential needs and reopens access to school and healthcare.
According to UNICEF, at least 17,000 children in Gaza may be unaccompanied or separated from their families, without the protection of a relative.

How are the orphans selected?
We would love to help every child in Gaza 🥺, but since we can't, we work with our partner on the ground to select the children most in need: those who have lost one parent (households headed by single women) or both parents, whose household has been displaced by the conflict or is below the poverty line, children with disabilities.... Age: 0 to 17.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes. LIFE is a recognised public-interest organisation. Your donations qualify for French tax relief of 66% of the amount given, up to 20% of taxable income. Our team sends you your tax receipt every year.
Can I stop my sponsorship at any time?
Yes. LIFE sponsorship has no minimum commitment. You can change your amount, pause or stop your sponsorship at any time from your member account. If you stop, the child continues to be supported by the programme.
Who is LIFE's partner on the ground in Gaza?
LIFE runs this programme with Al-Amal Training Society, its trusted partner in Gaza, working locally since 1997. Al-Amal handles the selection of children, the distribution and monitoring of vouchers, and health and psychosocial follow-up.
