Why aid takes time to arrive
Flores is an island. The earthquake triggered landslides that cut off entire roads, and power and communications are still disrupted in several regencies. Every day counts.

What exactly will my donation for Indonesia pay for?
Your donation pays for three things, the three urgent needs in the first days after an earthquake:
clean drinking water, because supplies are cut off and unsafe water sparks epidemics
food kits, for families who can no longer cook or buy food
hygiene kits, to stop makeshift shelters becoming breeding grounds for disease
How many families is LIFE helping in Indonesia?
800 families, in the worst-hit areas of Flores. This is the first phase of the operation, and it will grow if donations allow: more than 5,000 people were displaced by the earthquake, and the needs go far beyond what we can cover today 🫶.
Why is aid taking time to reach Indonesia?
Flores is an island, and the earthquake triggered landslides that cut off entire roads. Power and communications are disrupted in several regencies.
That is exactly why we work with a partner already based there: they don't need to get there, they're already there ✅.
Can I send money directly to families in Indonesia?
Sending money remotely to a specific family in a disaster zone is neither safe nor effective. Local banking channels are disrupted and there is no guarantee the money will arrive.
When you give through LIFE, your donation is turned into practical aid (water, food, kits), bought and distributed by our partner where the need is greatest.
Is my donation for Indonesia tax-deductible?
Yes ✅. As an individual, you can deduct 66% of your donation from your French income tax. A €100 donation really costs you €34.

Which payment methods are accepted?
Bank card, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay and bank transfer. All payments go through our certified partner platform and are encrypted 🔐.
To donate by phone, bank transfer or cheque: 01 84 21 20 10 or contact@life-ong.org.
Can I make a monthly donation for Indonesia?
Yes, and it's the most useful kind of donation. After an earthquake, the emergency lasts for months: rebuilding, restoring water supplies, getting children back to school. A monthly donation lets us commit for that long rather than just a few weeks.
You can change or stop it whenever you like from your donor account 👌.
👉 Become a monthly donor
Will I receive a tax receipt?
Yes ✅. Your tax receipt is emailed to you at the end of the year and covers all your donations for that year. This is the document you include with your tax return to claim your 66% relief.
