Some causes simply can't wait until tomorrow!
The first hours are crucial
Natural disasters and humanitarian emergencies are unpredictable. In just a few hours, everything can change: a devastating earthquake, the outbreak of war, or an unexpected humanitarian crisis. When chaos takes hold, every minute counts in saving lives. The first hours of a disaster are crucial.
Thanks to our emergency fund, we can:
- ⌛️ Be on the ground within the first 6 hours.
- 🆘 Mobilise the resources needed for the critical first 72 hours.
- 🥼 Save lives with a fast response tailored to each situation.
We are ready to act at the first alarm, providing immediate help tailored to the needs of the most vulnerable people.

WHAT ACTION do we take?
Fundraising campaigns launched after a disaster often take several days, even weeks, to mobilise the resources needed. Meanwhile, the people affected are left without adequate help.
The unpredictability of humanitarian crises makes traditional funding plans ineffective. An emergency fund ensures that our teams immediately have the means they need to be operational from the very first hours, by acting on:

Emergency relief
- Providing survival kits with food, clean drinking water and warm clothing.
- Setting up shelters for displaced families.
- Deploying medical support to treat the injured and prevent the spread of disease.
- Providing hygiene kits to ensure basic sanitary conditions.

Food distribution
- Distributing food rations suited to the needs of the people affected.
- Installing water filtration and purification systems to guarantee access to clean drinking water.

Protection
- Creating safe spaces to protect children and offer them psychological support.
- Setting up dedicated programmes for women, including kits to meet their specific needs.
- Providing targeted assistance to older people and people with disabilities.

Prevention
- Preventing untreated injuries from worsening.
- Limiting the spread of epidemics caused by a lack of clean water and hygiene.
- Easing social tensions caused by scarce resources, particularly in refugee camps.

The humanitarian emergency in France: too often forgotten
FRANCE NEEDS THIS EMERGENCY FUND TOO
In winter, France faces an alarming reality: thousands of homeless people, exposed to freezing temperatures, are fighting to survive. Extreme cold is not just a weather hardship, it is a silent humanitarian crisis. It hits the most vulnerable hardest: homeless people, families in distress, children and older people.
Why act in France?
Contrary to what you might think, humanitarian emergencies don't only affect developing countries.
In France, more than 330,000 people are homeless or living in precarious conditions. In winter, extreme cold makes their daily lives even harder, increasing the risk of hypothermia, serious illness and death.
These situations call for rapid, effective mobilisation to provide the right help as soon as the cold arrives.
The emergency IN Numbers:

Why are these actions vital?
Extreme cold kills every year. According to statistics, homeless people have a life expectancy 30 years shorter than the national average, and winter is a particularly dangerous time.
- Rapid, coordinated action can reduce cold-related deaths and preserve the dignity of those most in need.
- These initiatives also help break the isolation and remind these people that they are not forgotten.
- Finally, by acting locally, we show that solidarity knows no borders, even within our own country.
Let's give a warm winter
For the price of a coffee, a can of drink or a restaurant meal, you can change the day, and sometimes the life, of someone going through a difficult time.
Together, we can brighten their days and remind them that every life matters.
Every donation counts, every gesture makes a difference.

Money tight at the end of the month?
Money isn't the only way to help. “Sharing is caring”, so spread the word. Share this initiative on social media, with your friends, family or colleagues. It's a way to sow seeds of solidarity and reach people who might also want to take action.

It's hard to feed yourself in my village, especially for me as an elderly widow. I'm happy to receive this help and to see that people are thinking of me and my children.

You do remarkable work. Keep going, never give up. We need kind-hearted people like you so much…
Frequently asked questions
How are distributions organised?
Distributions take the form of family parcels given to the families most in need. One parcel feeds a family of 5 or more for a month. All smaller donations are pooled to make up complete parcels.
Who benefits from my donation?
Families living in poverty, isolated older people, people with disabilities, children, refugees, widows and single-parent families.
How can I follow my donation?
You'll regularly receive photos by email of your donations in action on the ground. We also share photos and videos every day on our social media: Facebook Instagram.
How do you get the food to each country?
To support the local economy and keep costs down, food is bought locally in bulk.
What's in the parcels?
The contents of a parcel depend on the country. Example for France: onions, potatoes, rice, semolina, tomato purée, flour, salt, oil, tuna, dates, sugar, brick pastry sheets, vermicelli, diced tomatoes, chickpeas, biscuits. Example for Palestine: meat, pasta, tomato purée, beans, tuna, rice, crushed lentils, lentils, flour, sugar, salt, oil, yeast, tea, white beans, packs of cheese, noodles, powdered milk. Example for Togo: rice, oil, sugar, tea, salt, pasta, maize.
Can I donate securely?
Rest assured, you can make your donation completely securely.
Our website is 100% secure, and we take all reasonable measures to protect the confidentiality of your data.
Your donation is collected through platforms that specialise in technical support for charities (Gocardless, Paypal and Stripe).
All banking details used to process payments are encrypted (SSL protocol). They are never stored on our IT systems.
To check that your payment details are protected when you donate, look for the padlock 🔒 in your browser's address bar.
Can I fund meals for the same person or for different people?
Here's how this campaign works: we put together family parcels for a family of around 5 people, containing 150 meals and 150 breakfasts.
So we can't guarantee that your donation will feed 30 different people. However, we can assure you that a €30 donation will indeed provide 30 different meals!
Will I receive a tax receipt?
You'll receive an annual tax receipt early next year, allowing you to deduct 66% of your donation from your income tax, up to 20% of your taxable income. So a €100 donation actually costs you only €34.
