Samia Orosemane talks about LIFE on Canal+ Niger

For many years, Samia Orosemane has done more than make her audiences laugh: she stands up for human dignity. A Lifechanger with LIFE from the very start, she is also an active member of its Board of Directors. In January 2026, she travelled to Niger for a deeply moving inauguration: that of a well drilled in her honour.

A committed comedian whose voice counts

Away from the spotlight, it is in the field that Samia shows the full strength of her commitment alongside LIFE. She knows the reality local communities face, having taken part in missions to the Comoros, Senegal, Mali and the DRC.

She is also one of the best-known faces of our flagship campaign "€1 = 1 meal". Over 30 days, this campaign provides food parcels and hot meals to people around the world who cannot feed themselves with dignity. In 2025, thanks to the generosity and solidarity of Lifechangers, 4,625,246 meals were given out in 15 countries in just 1 month!

A well drilled in her honour

At the start of 2026, Samia flew to Niger for a special mission: the inauguration of a new borehole. Drilled in her honour by our local partner, this well is far more than a piece of infrastructure; it is a symbol of hope and a priceless source of life for villagers who at last have access to clean drinking water.

Invited onto Canal+ for an interview, she spoke about why her work with LIFE matters, whether through food distributions or access to clean water.
