In a fine example of raising awareness and rallying support, the well-known digital media outlet Newstories has highlighted how Hmarket and our NGO joined forces to bring emergency aid to the victims of the devastating earthquake that struck Morocco.

During the night of Friday 8 to Saturday 9 September, a devastating earthquake struck the Marrakech region of Morocco. Early reports put the death toll at more than 3,000, with thousands more injured. The tragedy spread terror among residents, and its effects were felt in many regions across the country.

In the face of this natural disaster, Hmarket moved quickly to offer its support. Working with LIFE, our NGO, which has been on the ground in Morocco since the very first hours, Hmarket pledged to match every euro donated by its customers. The aim is to make every contribution go further and to provide meaningful support to the earthquake victims: food aid, essential supplies and any other help needed to support affected communities as they recover from this disaster.
