BEUR FM invites LIFE to talk about the €1 = 1 Meal 2026 campaign

During the "€1 = 1 Meal" solidarity campaign, LIFE spends 30 days handing out hot meals and food parcels to people in need in more than 10 countries. To raise awareness of this international effort, LIFE was the guest on Beur FM's "Ftour du Monde" programme on Saturday 14 March 2026, alongside volunteers who have taken part in various LIFE missions. The broadcast gave a voice to the people doing hands-on work in the field and was a reminder of why every donation counts.

A vital response to a food emergency

In many parts of the world, food insecurity is a daily reality for millions of people. Not being able to get enough to eat, rising prices, economic crises and conflict leave whole families and communities vulnerable for years. Through the "€1 = 1 Meal" campaign, LIFE takes practical action to meet this emergency by handing out hot meals and food parcels. This brings immediate relief, and it also protects the dignity of the people and families we support by making sure they can get the essential food they need. In 2025, the generosity of our Lifechangers meant that in just 30 days, 4,625,246 meals were distributed. That is more than 860 tonnes of food, to the great joy of the families!

On Beur FM, the voices from the field take centre stage

On "Ftour du Monde", several LIFE volunteers came to share their experiences and describe what humanitarian missions are really like. They included Imane Hammami, a journalist who volunteered on a mission in Ethiopia; Aziz Aboudrar, a comedian and actor who volunteered in Senegal; Amelle Sbah Lkheir, a content creator who has volunteered in Morocco, Lebanon, Syria and Senegal; and Williams Diops, aka Willaxxx, a comedian, actor and DJ who has also volunteered in Senegal.

Their stories showed how varied the settings we work in are, and the direct impact of the work made possible by our Lifechangers' generosity. They all highlighted one thing in common: the dignity and resilience of the people they met. They also stressed how everyone's support allows us to act quickly and effectively on the ground for those who need it most.

The conversation also highlighted the vital role of LIFE volunteers, who are there every step of the way: organising the logistics of distributions, preparing food parcels and supporting the families and communities we help.

Their commitment reflects the collective strength and solidarity that have driven LIFE since it was founded in 2009.
