LIFE joins the NGO elite

We've reached a new milestone! Your NGO, known for its practical, lasting work in humanitarian aid, is proud to announce that it has joined the prestigious ranks of two highly respected networks: Coordination Humanitaire et Développement (CHD) and Coordination SUD.

By joining these organisations, we are committing ourselves even more deeply to international solidarity. This important step marks our entry into the NGO elite.

So who are these two major organisations?

Founded in 1983, CHD is one of the leading networks of international solidarity NGOs. LIFE now plays its part in this alliance, which today brings together 54 organisations delivering emergency relief, reconstruction and/or development projects around the world. CHD is a founding member of Coordination SUD.

Coordination Sud, for its part, is the national coordinating body for French international solidarity NGOs, founded in 1994. In 2023, this powerful alliance brings together more than 180 French civil society organisations involved in emergency humanitarian work, development projects, environmental protection and the defence of human rights, as well as advocacy and education initiatives promoting citizenship and international solidarity.

These memberships reflect how far we have come: from a neighbourhood association to a professional international NGO with recognised expertise. They also hold the promise of new opportunities.

LIFE: another step in our ongoing commitment

Belonging to these major networks brings us considerable benefits. First of all, it allows us to build close ties with other leading organisations working in similar or complementary fields.

Working together across organisations encourages the exchange of good practice, the development of shared strategies and the pooling of expertise. It also gives us the chance to take part in larger-scale initiatives. In this way, we can multiply and strengthen our overall impact.

Together, we are stronger and better able to achieve our shared goals for a fairer, more humane world.

By joining these respected networks, we are raising our national and international profile to new heights. We now have a wider platform for exchange and communication, and a bigger stage from which to raise awareness of today's humanitarian challenges among a broader audience.

But that's not all! As a member of Coordination SUD, we also gain access to new funding opportunities. These extra resources will help us bring even more of our projects and initiatives to life, so we can keep bringing joy and comfort to every corner of the world.
