Le360 covers LIFE's work

During the month of Ramadan and our 30 days of standing together against hunger, LIFE joined forces with the Future Caravane association and other humanitarian organisations to run a solidarity convoy to Asni, in Morocco's Al-Haouz region. The aim was to bring food aid to families living at the Aslida roundabout, who were hit hard by the earthquake of 8 September 2023.

Moroccan news outlet Le360 interviews Tarek El Kahodi, President of LIFE, and Yusra al-Arjouni, head of the Future Caravane association.

Tarek El Kahodi explains that the teams handed out food parcels, each weighing 42 kilograms, to 197 families to see them through the holy month.

Yusra al-Arjouni points out that this was the second time they had made the journey to the Aslida roundabout, having already brought help on an earlier mission.

She took the opportunity to call on Moroccan and international associations to step up their support for the earthquake victims. She also asked local associations, who know each area's specific needs best, to lend a hand. The initiative was warmly welcomed by residents and civil society groups in Asni, in Al-Haouz province, showing just how vital humanitarian and solidarity efforts like this are.
