Fun Radio talks about LIFE

Fun Radio and LIFE: making a difference in Niger
During a special edition of Fun Radio, Tarek, president of the NGO LIFE, was invited to talk about its recent well-drilling project in Niger. Fun Radio gave the organisation 2,500 euros to fund the project.
The need for clean drinking water in Niger
Niger is one of the poorest countries in the world. According to UNICEF, more than half of households have no access to clean drinking water, and nearly a third have no access to basic sanitation. Without clean water, people are more likely to suffer from waterborne diseases such as diarrhoea, cholera and typhoid, all of which can be fatal if left untreated.
LIFE made a difference with Fun Radio
LIFE works to tackle this problem by providing wells in Niger, wherever the need is felt. These wells supply clean drinking water, free from bacteria and other contaminants that could make people ill. Thanks to Fun Radio's donation, LIFE was able to build a well that will provide clean water to an entire village for years to come. By funding a well-drilling project, Fun Radio has helped make a real difference to the lives of many people in Niger who have no access to clean drinking water – a basic human right that most of us take for granted every day! Thank you too, Fun Radio, for putting the spotlight on the NGO with this conversation on air. The well was drilled in a village in Niger. Watch LIFE's appearances on the show below:
