Beur FM talks about LIFE

Beur FM interviewed our president, Tarek El Kahodi, on its programme Ramadan and Co on 7 April 2024.

The programme highlights the meals we distribute in France and around the world through our 1 euro = 1 meal campaign.

Since we launched it in 2013, our “1 euro = 1 meal” initiative has helped distribute millions of meals around the world. Every year we throw ourselves into this campaign during one special month: Ramadan. Throughout these 30 days of standing together against hunger, we can count on the generosity of a great many donors, our Lifechangers. In 2023, thanks to their kindness, more than 8 million meals were given during this period, bringing joy and comfort.

Tarek, our president, called on donors to give generously during the sacred time of Ramadan, especially with Eid just hours away. Giving means families in need can truly celebrate this special day to the full.

The Ramadan and Co programme also covers the emergency humanitarian work of LIFE. We have been responding to emergencies around the world for many years. We work in Somalia, with Syrian refugees, with Palestinians in Lebanon and in Morocco, where we responded urgently after the earthquake in September 2023, among other places. We have been working on the ground in Gaza for 10 years, and since 7 October 2023 we have been more active there than ever, distributing food parcels and hot meals. We are also helping to build prefabricated shelters to house people in the camps.
