BBC News Afrique features LIFE's 1 euro = 1 meal campaign

On 20 March 2025, Mouhamadou Gaye, Head of Operations at LIFE, was interviewed by BBC News Afrique on its morning television news. The interview set out to highlight our annual « 1 euro = 1 meal » campaign, which saw meals distributed to families in need across 15 countries over the course of a month, including in Africa.
A simple campaign with a real impact
The « 1 euro = 1 meal » campaign is built on a simple idea: every euro raised provides a balanced meal for a person in need. This direct, transparent approach has brought a wide audience together in the fight against hunger. This year, more than 4 million meals were distributed, to the great joy of the families who received them.
A strong commitment on the ground
Mouhamadou Gaye stressed how important LIFE's work on the ground is. Active in more than 25 countries, the NGO works closely with local partners to identify needs and deliver aid as effectively as possible.

A real impact
Thanks to the generosity of our donors, our true Lifechangers, the campaign distributed thousands of meals around the world. This work has a direct, tangible impact on families' lives, giving them vital food support.
A call to solidarity
Mouhamadou Gaye's appearance on BBC News Afrique was a chance to remind viewers why international solidarity matters. By supporting the « 1 euro = 1 meal » campaign, everyone can play a part in the fight against hunger and help the people who need it most. Every gesture counts. Together, let's keep changing lives.
