MOROCCO EMERGENCY: REBUILDING
EARTHQUAKE
Help the people of Morocco
Your donation entitles you to 66% French tax relief. For example, a €50 donation would cost you just €17.
On the night of Friday 8 to Saturday 9 September,
Morocco was struck by a magnitude 6.8 earthquake.
The provisional toll is devastating:
- + 2,900 dead
- +Thousands missing
The earthquake caused major damage in several towns and cities: Marrakech, Al Haouz, Chichaoua, Taroudant and Ouarzazate. It was also felt in Rabat, Essaouira, Agadir and Casablanca.
Hundreds of terrified people ran through the streets as many buildings collapsed. Survivors took refuge in open squares to spend the night, fearing further tremors. And while rescue teams work hard in the cities, the remote surrounding rural areas are desperately seeking help.
On the ground, everyone is helping in whatever way they can.
You too have the power to act
Every bit of support is priceless 🙏.
Your donations have already provided first aid, hygiene kits, food kits and shelter. September laid the first stone, and it is thanks to your contribution that we achieved this first victory.
October brings a major new challenge: rebuilding schools and homes.
With winter fast approaching, villagers have seen their homes and schools completely destroyed...
With your help, they can have a warm home again and the children can carry on learning.
Every contribution, however small, can make a difference.
Every donation creates a significant and lasting impact.
