Sadaqa Jariya: The charity that lasts
Chez LIFE ONG, action is at the heart of our mission. Each project we undertake, each commitment we make, contributes to creating an impact that lasts over time. We strongly believe in the power of Sadaqa Jariya, a special form of charity that transcends occasional assistance. At LIFE ONG, it is embodied through concrete projects that have changed lives. Let's discover together the profound meaning of Sadaqa Jariya, its fundamental principles, and why it is so valuable.
Origin and meaning of Sadaqa Jariya
Sadaqa Jariya, rooted in the profound teachings of Islam, transcends the simple act of giving. It evokes a charity that goes far beyond our fleeting passage on this earth.
At the very foundations of Sadaqa Jariya lies the recognition that every act of kindness, when undertaken with sincerity and commitment, becomes a lasting legacy. It is much more than a simple punctual gesture. It is a conscious investment in the future, a charitable work whose beneficial effects unfold over time, like a virtuous wave that persists over generations.
Sadaqa Jariya is an investment in the resilience of communities, in the education of future generations, and in sustainable health and well-being.
The multiple dimensions of Sadaqa Jariya
Access to water
1. Access to water : For millions of people around the world, clean water is a luxury. Sadaqa Jariya often takes the form of projects aimed at ensuring access to this source of life, which is drinking water. Every drop is precious and vital for communities, relieving thirst in the present and for generations to come.
Since 2009, LIFE has been working to guarantee access to drinking water for all. Thanks to continued alms. We have the capacity to fund the construction of wells for communities in need. These essential structures provide invaluable access to clean water, transforming the health and quality of life of people in the regions where we operate. Not only do they ensure a constant supply of drinking water. But they also reduce the burden on women and children who once spent long hours carrying water from distant sources. With this ease of access to water, these communities can focus on other aspects of their development.

Reforestation
2. Reforestation : Sadaqa Jariya's projects often extend to the preservation of the environment through reforestation actions. Reforestation creates a restored ecosystem that continues to thrive and provide lasting benefits. Each tree planted provides resources and food to communities for as long as it survives, while contributing to the fight against global warming.
In Senegal, we have started a school garden project. The students showed us, with great pride, that the garden had thrived exceptionally. The fruits and vegetables these trees produce enrich canteen meals, providing children with healthy food to grow up strong and happy.
In Tambacounda, Senegal, we planted trees, strengthening biodiversity and creating new hope. for a healthier environment.
Education
3. Education :
Offering children access to quality education allows them to chart their own path to a promising future. Education is the key that opens doors to opportunity, and every school we build is an investment in human potential. The classrooms built by Sadaqa Jariya are not simple brick and mortar structures, but sanctuaries of knowledge. Every child who walks through these doors has access to a transformed future. Education thus becomes a legacy that transcends the boundaries of time, opening doors for curious minds and shaping destinies.
Following the earthquakes in Morocco, especially in the Marrakech region, an urgent response was put in place to rebuild and support affected communities. In an effort to restore some normality in the lives of the inhabitants. Schools have been built in remote villages that have been hit hard. These new educational infrastructures are designed to provide a safe haven for local youth, providing a space for learning and resilience. This initiative demonstrates the commitment to the reconstruction and revitalization of affected areas, stressing the importance of education in social reconstruction and in building a promising future.

The construction of decent housing
4. Building decent housing: La Sadaqa Jariya at LIFE ONG is also committed to the construction of decent housing. Each house built becomes much more than a physical shelter; it provides stability and dignity for entire families. These homes become safe havens, anchors in daily life. Offering an environment conducive to family development.
Mali, ranked among the poorest countries in the world, the population is suffering the effects of global warming. The homes are not adapted. They have poor thermal and acoustic comfort, are expensive, degrade quickly and have a strong carbon footprint. It is in the Ségou region that we have been able to build housing adapted to the realities of climate change and offer a safe and comfortable roof to families in need.

Beacons of hope that illuminate daily life and that, above all, will last for generations to come. So when we talk about Sadaqa Jariya's projects at LIFE ONG. We are not just talking about achievements, but about transformed destinies.
