Who should pay Fidya?

Is my donation tax deductible?

Yes, by making your donation via the NGO LIFE, you can benefit from a 66% tax deduction of your donation (within the limit of 20% of your taxable income in France). For example, a donation of €100 really only costs you €34 after deduction.

Will I get a tax receipt?

You will receive an annual tax receipt at the beginning of next year that will allow you to deduct up to 66% of your donation from your income taxes. Thus, a donation of €100 actually only comes back to €34 after deduction.

When does Ramadan 2025 start?

The Ramadan 2025 should start around Friday 28 February 2025, subject to the observation of the lunar croissant during the Night of Doubt. This date may vary slightly depending on observation conditions. Ramadan is a time of fasting, spirituality, and sharing for Muslims around the world.

What is the deadline for paying Zakat el Fitr?

La Zakat El Fitr must be paid Before the Eid al-Fitr prayer, which concludes the month of Ramadan. For Ramadan 2025, the Eid prayer should take place on Saturday March 29, 2025, subject to lunar observations.
