BBC News Africa talks about the LIFE 1 euro=1 meal operation

On 20 March 2025, Mouhamadou Gaye, Operations Manager at LIFE, was interviewed by BBC News Africa as part of the morning news program. The purpose of this interview was to highlight the annual campaign.” 1 euro = 1 meal ”, during which, for one month, meals were distributed to families in need in 15 countries, especially in Africa.
A simple campaign for a concrete impact
The “1 euro = 1 meal” campaign is based on a simple principle: each euro collected makes it possible to provide a balanced meal to a person in need. This direct and transparent approach has made it possible to mobilize a large public around the cause of the fight against hunger. This year, there are more than 4 million meals which were distributed to the delight of families.
A strong commitment on the ground
Mouhamadou Gaye underlined the importance of LIFE's commitment on the ground. Present in more than 25 countries, the NGO works in close collaboration with local partners to identify needs and distribute aid as effectively as possible.

A concrete impact
Thanks to the generosity of donors, true Lifechangers, the campaign distributed thousands of meals around the world. These actions have a direct and concrete impact on the lives of families, by providing them with essential food support.
An invitation to solidarity
Mouhamadou Gaye's speech on BBC News Africa was an opportunity to recall the importance of international solidarity. By contributing to the “1 euro = 1 meal” campaign, everyone can participate in the fight against hunger and support the populations who need it most. Every action counts. Together, let's continue to change lives.
