On October 7, the 8 p.m. television news of the RTG2 Dedicated to reportage To Life's action in Guinea, highlighting a project for access to drinking water that has changed the lives of beneficiary families.

Access to Water, a Major Challenge in Guinea
Although Guinea is nicknamed the “water tower of West Africa” because of its numerous water resources, millions of people still do not have access to safe and safe drinking water on a daily basis. In some rural and peri-urban areas, people travel several kilometers every day to find water, often from contaminated sources. This situation exposes families to numerous waterborne diseases and hampers local development.

A concrete project at the service of the empowerment of local communities
Since 2018, LIFE has collaborated closely with the FAG association (Federation of Guinean Associations of Hauts-de-France) To meet the essential needs of Guinean families and support their autonomy, especially on issues ofAccess to Drinking Water.
The RTG2 report highlights an essential project: the construction of 5 electric pump boreholes equipped with reservoirs with a storage capacity of 5000 liters. They were inaugurated in 5 villages in the Conakry region (Simabaye Station, Koloma, Koloma, Kakoulimayah, Kholaya, Simambossia), where access to drinking water remains a daily challenge for many families. This initiative has concretely changed the daily lives of local populations as testified by Antoinette Koulemou, a resident of the village of Koloma where a well was inaugurated, “before the drilling arrived, we were forced to move, to go very far to draw water. We are very happy.”
This media visibility on RTG2 highlights the concrete impact of the project and reinforces our commitment to ensure sustainable access to drinking water for Guinean communities.
