Why does well drilling cost the same regardless of the country?
At LIFE, we have chosen a unique and fair price for all our wells, regardless of the country 🌍. Why? Because access to water should not depend on cost, but on need.
Construction costs actually vary by region (depth, materials, logistics), but our aim is to prioritize the most urgent areas, not the cheapest ❌.
So we defined a average rate based on quality, to guarantee sustainable, efficient and fair wells everywhere. For example, if drilling in an African country requires funding of €2,650 compared to €2,300 in an Asian country, this allows us not to prioritize the Asian geographical area to the detriment of the needs of African populations.
👉 Don't worry: If the cost of carrying out a project costs less than the amount of your donation, the difference is reinvested in our WATER SPONSOR fund to finance the maintenance of our boreholes, as well as all our Hygiene and Sanitation projects, which are just as important for the populations ✅.
