Steemit talks about LIFE ONG
Steemit, a social network, talks about our NGO LIFE in an article dedicated to access to water in the world.
Construction of wells, fountains, water towers and health infrastructures, he evokes our commitment to the fight for access to water in the world through our OASIS program. The article also highlights our close collaboration with local partners. Thanks to her, we have a thorough understanding of the specific needs of each community and can effectively carry out adapted projects. In this context, we have succeeded in deploying thousands of projects in several countries, from Africa to Asia, thus offering vital access to drinking water to populations that are deprived of it.
Partnerships and relationships of trust established with local communities are essential to ensure the sustainability of projects in the long term. The water management committees, composed of members who come from them, ensure the sustainability of the infrastructures put in place and promote the empowerment of populations in the management of their water resources. With a focus on building local capacity, we are committed to creating lasting changes that benefit everyone.
One of the most notable consequences of our OASIS campaign is the significant increase in school enrollment rates in supported communities. Indeed, by reducing the constraints associated with collecting water, our NGO LIFE allows children, especially girls, to spend more time at school rather than traveling long distances to look for water. This increase in school attendance has a direct impact on academic performance and opens up new perspectives for younger generations. It is an important vector for the development of these villages as a whole. And to go even further in this direction, our NGO distributes school kits, builds school canteens, etc. in many countries with our component: School for all.
Our NGO's projects are “integrated projects”. We act in several areas jointly: water, education, food security, environment.
Did you know that? UNICEF estimates that 200 million hours of time are lost on a daily basis by women and girls devoted to this task.
